alexideways
I have this opportunity to buy a car in California, but I'm having problems finding a competent car shipping company that can answer questions quickly and precisely. I need to have the car shipped from Panorama city, Ca, 91402 to Montreal, Qc, Canada, H4C-3H2. Anyone could give me a quick quote or direct me to a good website for this purpose, it would be much appreciated. Thanks. Alex.
MrFancypants
Man that's a long way. Only car shippers I know travel in specific regions of the USA (like southwest or south). You might want to look into rail shipping. The other thing would be to find someone in Burlington and drive/tow it across the border yourself. I bet that would be MUCH cheaper. International car shipping would be much more work. - Greg -
DREW RBZ
Hey Alex. I had my car shipped from California. I used Autotransport.com They were great...They picked up the car from the sellers house and then I met the driver across the border at Watertown, NY,and then loaded the car on a car hauler behind a friends pickup truck for the ride back to Ottawa. I was in contact with the truck driver by cell phone to arrange the meet. You have to provide the US customs people with the title and bill of sale 72hours in advance of crossing over the border. I had these documents couriered from the seller to my home then sent them to the border. You have to send the docs to the crossing where you are planning on coming back into Canada. It was relatively easy. Send me a PM and I can give you some more info. Take care, Andrew
