24OZ Posted March 23, 2007 Share Posted March 23, 2007 Hi there, I have just fitted my 240Z halfshafts to an R200 that I picked up and i noticed that when i pull the halfshafts in and out there is actual movement inside the diff, I can see the diff's flanges move a couple of mm's in and out. Should there be any movement at all? I'm just curious about this as I will probably just fit it and see but wanted to run it past you guys in case you had any thoughts or advice. Check the FSM for inspection steps and it should say something about a tolerable limit to the flange movement. A couple mm probably isn't anything to worry about.
