SuperPickle
The PO took off the bumpers in preparation for a body kit, but left the bumper struts on. After seeing a set for sale on ebay, I realized I could take the eyesores off as well. I did, but I can't seem to find a handy, safe place to put the horns now (as they were attached to the struts). I only have some hand tools, and the parts off of the car itself (sans bumpers), so fabrication is out of the question. No hurry, as I'm sanding off the rust and repainting them anyway. Also, would anybody be able to tell me if there is a replacement grill that would fill up the space previously occupied by the bumpers? Cheap/Free is preferable. Thank you in advance. {77 280z, stock}
mario_82_ZXT
Try looking around in the lower or upper rad support, i'm going to see if I can fit mine somewhere around there, or just mount train horns near where the battery goes Mario
hughdogz
Hey SP, You can easily drill holes in the frame (just in front of the radiator) to re-locate the horn mounts for the horns. Also, I've heard that you can use a front grill from a chevy astro (turned upside-down) if you like a "full grill" from a boneyard. ...HTH Cheers, -Hugh
