Guest tom sixbey
can someone tell me what the optimal tire size is for the original 14" aluminum 240z wheels? I was guessing a 205/60 14 would fit the bill. - any tire reccomendations for these rims?
Modern Motorsports Ltd
optimal for what? handling/straight line.... are they 6" or 7" (seen both as OEM dealer add ons) 215's max for 7's and 195's max for 6's for fine handling IMO,preferably less (215/60/14 is nice on a 7" to fit all needs)....less or more for other desires, 215's on a 7 will roll LOTS as will 205's on 6's
auxilary
stock was 175/75/14 and later changed to 195/70/14, i think. going off the 195/70/14 measurement, 205/65/14 will give you the least amount of speedo difference. but can you fit 205/60 on a 14x5 mag? Guest tom sixbey
i want the best tire for handling... i'm really just wanting to put decent tread onto the ground until i can find a beter wheel/tire combination. I'll take a look at the 195/70/14's you guys told me about. I just hate it how tires in that size range of a given size will vary so much in the amount of tread they actually put down....
