1 fast z Posted April 10, 2007 Share Posted April 10, 2007 I am needing to know what the diameter and thickness is of RB26 cam bucket shims. Also, I am pretty sure that 26 engines are solid lifter, and 20's are hydro? Is this correct? Are 25's solid also? And lastly, where do you get aftermarket shims? Stealth-Z Posted April 10, 2007 Share Posted April 10, 2007 Welcome to the RB26 shim club. There are like 70 different thickness sizes for them. Supposedly you can get them from RBMotoring. My machinist's solution was to take off a little material off a few of the valve stems. I have 2 RB26 heads and nearly every shim has been different. We did alot of shuffling and measuring.
