Careless Posted April 15, 2007 Share Posted April 15, 2007 are you honing or boring the block? if so, how much are you stripping off the cylinder walls? When buying new pistons, if your block looks like it needs attention, you should go with the 87mm in this case, because you may have to shave off more than the recommended piston to bore clearance for the 86.5mm piston. the pistons come with spec sheets and bore/clearance measurements that you should show to anyone who is doing the boring or honing. at the very least, you should hone the sucker.
