mounting kit for an 1983 Z

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a mounting kit for my 1983 280ZX Turbo. I found the website http://www.Jagsthatrun.com, but that only covers Z's from 1970-1978. I am doing this because I bought the car for $300 hoping to make it run, but it's not getting spark in cylinders one and two, and the wiring is so bad that I would have to re-wire the whole thing and most likely end up re-building the engine. So, instead of spending around 500-600 dollars, I am just going to buy a 350 for it, but I want a mounting kit for it.

sorry if this post sounds dumb and thanks for any help.

well unless there is a different mounting kit on that site it says "The V8 conversion mounts for the 1979-1983 280ZX are completely different than the V8 mounts for the 1970-1978 Z car." and i know it will cost more i am gussing about 1000 to 1200 but thats not bad considering i bought the car for 300. also if i dont get lucky with a mounting kit and decide to re-build what i have is there a site that sells re-wireing kits

once again sorry and thanks for any help

the zx mounts should be pretty cheap to make if u study the manual.. but hey $250 is a fair price.... a local junk yard should have a replacement wire harness in stock.. but as far as the mounts goes... look real close and u will see the link right under the datsun Z car mount kit. dont look on the side that list the books. look on the other side where it list the kits order forms it says 280zx v8 mount kit.....
