HB280ZT
Hi All, Well as the title says I will be Tampa Bound in a few weeks. I am currently in Virginia but I just accepted a job in Tampa working for the government. So that being said what is there to do for us Z people in the Tampa area? Do you all have a club or some type of group going down there? Any other help would be great as I will be needing to put together a new motor for my 77 280Z turbo later this year, one cylinder is low and I am loosing power. Also I am into HPDE's and have run up here at the following tracks: Roebling Roads Summit Point Main course VIR Full course and North course I am also a NASA member so I will see what they have going on. Thanks for the help and hope to see and talk with some of you all in the future. If you want you can PM or e-mail me. veritech-z
So that being said what is there to do for us Z people in the Tampa area? Do you all have a club or some type of group going down there? If you find out the answers to either of these questions, be sure and let me know...I usually make my own fun (if you want to know where the fun roads are, I'll point you in the right direction). I have one friend with a 280z 2+2 that is too busy to ever do anything (also too busy to join hybridz), so I'm the only Z that I know. Primadonna Z is right over the bridge, but I've managed to never run into him either...So who is you all (you'll have to change that to "y'all" once you get down here, you know that, right?) anyway? So far, it's just me...if there is a Y'all, somebody call me up! The closest road track I'm aware of is Sebring (several hours away), but there are a few drag strips in the area. Good luck with the new job, maybe I'll see you around!
primadonna z
Now, Now. Theres plenty to do, this is Florida! Here's a link to the Suncoast Z car club. http://www.suncoastzcarclub.homestead.com/zhomepage.html Further, here's a link to the Florida Z Association. The Association represents all of the states Z Clubs. http://flza.com/ When it comes to Z only events, this year is a bit slower than usual because of club efforts being directed toward the National Convention in October. You can find more information on the convention on the FLZA site above. As for Car events in general, there are shows, or gatherings every night, and on the weekends. Track time may be less frequent, but all it takes is someone to "stir the pot" and organize the events.
