Anyone here use KUMHO?

Recommended Posts

Anyone here know much about Kumho? Ive seen only a few of these tires around. The reason is my Lumina has the optional 225 60 16 with the load rating of 97H on it and i found a set at tire rack for around 54 bucks a piece. Plus i have to find someone here to mount them cheap. Any opinions abouut the Ecsta 716HP?

I have run both the Victoracers (for autocross only) and the Supra712's (street tires) on my '99 Cobra. I was happy with both of them. I do not know about the 716's or how well they perform but would recommend the company. THe Supra's had a low price and gripped well. I would try them out. If you don t like them then at least you did not spend lots of cash to put them on. Depending on the usage you Lumina sees the ones pictured may be just fine.

My wife's car had Kumho's in this pic. Had no problems in the dry or rain. I put the car in a four wheel drift with out loosing it. In general I think Kumho's are decent tires for the price.

I have the supra 712 on my rx-7 and love them I test drove a 92 F-Body with the touring tyres you are asking about and found them to be a bit noisy and choppy on moderate cornering (this car is not a leight weight) I would pop a few more bucks and go for the ecsta712's Keith

The car is just used for everyday driving, no drifting, no sliding, no running away from cops. Just the occassional off the light run and exiting the round exit ramps too fast once in a while. The "H" is just the original tires that the car came with. I'm thnking of just stepping down to a "T" rating because touring tires are a bit cheaper.
