kickinback88
hey guys. so i finally landed my Z. its a 71 240 4 speed, passenger side fender/door need paint, but interoir has been restored from carpet to weatherstripping....500 bucks. downside- cracked head that snapped a valve in #1 and cracked the cylinder/broke the piston. question is, are the parts available to resleeve that hole, and how much to do a basic low budget rebuild-just enough to get a pulse? i am swapping in an lt1 next year, lol, my roadmaster is making the ultimate sacrifice. but i would like to drive it until then. i havent seen many Z's in SE GA, and parts seem scarce, at least used. any help would be appreciated. lol, and if anyone near st marys, ga has a cheap z motor for sale, let me know:wink: thanks guys! mario_82_ZXT
It might be cheaper to get another L engine. They're common and usually cheaper then rebuilding the current one. Ledphoot
sounds like just the recipe for a scrapyard 350 v8 to me...
