383 240z
Well how about head studs? I'm swapping the heads out on my SBC that is mounted in the JTR position can I remove the heads with out pulling the block if the motor has studs? ( it currantly has bolt but I'm thinking about installing studs from ARP) just wan't to know about the next time now? Has anybody else had this problem? Guest Fast Frog
Yes you can. I switched a pair of 487 hds for a pair of Edelbrock aluminum hds. Just be sure you get the correct torque on the lower bolts/studs, particularily, on the drivers side. If you can remove the headers easy enough, it makes torquing the head much easier.
