Hey all. Just for a little background, Ive been driving/building Rx-7s and rotaries for the past 7 years or so, and my last Rx-7 was a 94 which I had an LS1/T56 setup in. I had recently sold that, I wasnt really looking for another project until the other day I came across a really nice '72 240 for sale right down the road from me. Ive always loved the way these cars looked, and I knew you could shove an LS1 in them, so thats why Im here. Anyway, the thing I liked about my Rx-7 swap is that it was very well documented, and I could pretty much buy everything needed for the swap, from subframes to even the wiring harness. For me to put an LS1 in this 240, could someone point me to some vendors or write-ups where I could research this further, or if youd like spend a few minutes and tell me what all would have to be custom, and what I can buy. Also, Im concerned about the rest of the driveline and chassis of the car with all the extra power. In my Rx-7 I had an 8.8 IRS rear end from an '03 Mustang cobra.. are there kits out there allowing you to mount up a beffier rear to the Z? Thanks for any help guys, much appreciated.
