Guest Anonymous
Havok: I have a question and a observation. Are those the G Nose mirrors and what is that large cylinder under the mounts? If those are the 5 inch adjusting sleeves, they are the ideal height for a 2 inch section out of the 280 Z strut. Where did the camber plates come from? and how much if I may ask? Looks like some serous z modifications going on.
Guest Anonymous
Hey, those are 240ZG mirrors, the large cylinder is a mini shock absorber has a adjusting nut at the bottom. coilovers are the 5" sleeves which i have a 2" section on my 240Z struts. springs are in the mail 350# up front 375# in the rear. koni 280Z struts are being used the 240Z strut housings have been honed to accomadate the bigger strut tube. camber plates are ground control ones. I got mine for 480$ for the set of 4. but i was hooked up with a deal. All was done through www.zdatsun.com David Dutko. Real nice guy. Tell him chase sent you. Eventually going to go with Mike's adjustable control arms/tension rods. but i must save up. These camber plates look so much better in person pics dont do them justice. same ones that todd kaneko has on his car!! lol later!

Guest gprix1
Havok, Couple of questions for ya, springs are in the mail 350# up front 375# in the rear That is stiffer than what I have seen most suggest. I am still trying to figure out what spring rate I want to go with. My car will be for street, autox, and track-days. What made you decide to choose those spring rates? koni 280Z struts are being used the 240Z strut housings have been honed to accomadate the bigger strut tube Interesting, so you have 2" sectioned 240Z strut housings that you have honed for koni 280Z struts?Since you have sectioned your 240Z strut housing is the 280Z strut shorter to accomidate this? If so, this sounds like a very interesting option. How much honing - I mean, is there a good amount of material left after the honing? Should most machine shops be able to do this or did you send it somewhere special? Thanks, Rick
Guest Anonymous
jaime, yes ground-control.com does sell them for 300$ for a pair, i got them for 480$ for a set of 4. rick, the car is going to be a drift car i think around 250# tokico illuminas will no longer damper. so i went with the konis. i got ordered koni shocks today the 280Z ones (240Z ones are no longer available.)I'll get back to you to see if they will fit hehe I was told on the phone these koni shocks are not able to be shortened (no custom order) so i will not be sectioning the strut anymore. i think eliminating the top perch insolator from the camber plates is enough gain in suspension travel. hope that helps.
