Will 1976/ 280 Z brake rotars bolt to 300 ZX 5 lug hubs?

Trying to put together a mis-mash of parts on a Velo Rossa rebody to mount Ford 5 lug pattern Eagle alloy 5 star wheels. Will the stock 280 Z rotars bolt to the five lug 300 ZX hubs? Will the 300ZX hubs mount to the 280 Z strut/spindle Not too interested in a big brake upgrade. Will the 300ZX 5 lug Hubs mount to the 280 Z spindles? Or do you need the 300ZX hub-rotar/280ZX caliper combination ala Terry Oxendale JY upgrade?

Only if the rotors are drilled for 5 holes. The rotor bolt circle is not the dame as the wheel bolt circle (it's smaller) Don't know if they are the 5-bolt 300ZX and 4 bolt 280Z are same diameter and Don't know of any non-vented 5-bolt rotors with the proper offset.

Yes - same wheel bearings I/D and O/D and same size spindles. Offset is a little different.

I will throw out a tangent here also. I have read that the '70-'81 Camaro front hubs will fit 280Z spindles also. Never had the parts in hand to test this. But that's one way to get 5-bolt 4 3/4" circle wheels and big brakes on the front

I will add a little to what Trevor said.

The stock 280Z rotors will not very easily bolt up to the 300ZX rotor at all. These are all two piece type rotors and the rotor part bolts to the hub from the backside. the 280Z uses 4 bolts (not lug nuts) to mate it to the hub and the 300ZX (5 lug) uses 5 bolts. The hole diameter is also different between the 2 models. Again, the 280Z has a much larger diameter opening (the part that slips over the rear part of the hub) then the 300ZX. You would have to do some machining work for sure and in addition drill new holes in the rotor.

The offset is very different between the 2 hubs - 3/4" difference. So whatever wheels you are going to use take that into consideration.

Summit has some inexpensive aluminum adapters that will let you mount the wheels you want to use on the five-lug hubs. They add a little over an inch to the offset, though.

The problem is finding "rear wheel drive" wheels to fit a Velo Rossa with 4 lug hole Datsun hubs. 8 inch wheels in front and 10 inch wheels in rear with a 3 1/2 inch backspacing on all wheels. No one has the 10 inch wheel in 4 lug Datsun except racing wheel manfacturers.Nate has some 8 inch 5 star Eagle Alloys but cannot take the adapters or the conversion to 300 ZX hubs because the wheels will be offst to far out from the front fender of the Velo Rossa.Does anyone know of some sporty racing wheels and some spinner knock off style hubs to dress the wheels up?
