I know nothing about modifying stock suspension. I have been told that for the modifications I plan (SCCA's front/rear 5-lug & Disc brake conversion) coil-overs would be a wise decision.

 

What I would like to know is what are the characteristics one needs to consider when selecting coil-overs and how does one come to determine the selection?
