ZR8ED
Hey guys. I think I've found some rims that I like, and a company that does custom rims. The site was suggested to my by someone here on this board. Compomotive wheels. Has anyone actually dealt with these guys? are they good guys to deal with? I've heard of their rims and I know their quality is pretty good.. just looking for good customer service, as I will need these shipped sight unseen. Here are the rims I'm looking at. http://www.usacomp.com/ts.htm Looking for a 17x11 back 17x8 front. I haven't sorted out the offset needed yet.. just looking for suppliers that can meet my needs. 315/35/17's (viper size) hehehe ought to look beefy enough under my car. gonna have some wicked deep dish though... only going to have 3.5" back space I think.. (I don't have coilovers... It is going to be a super bitch figuring this all out, and where I want the outside edge of my wheel/tire to be...soooo much room under those flares... might order them to be ready for next season. DavyZ
I have never had enough $$$$ to buy from them, but I know they do make a quality wheel. Those rims you are looking at will look great under the car, and I have some great pictures (photos ) of a wildly flared out Z from the 80's that has a polished version of that style (Hyashi Racing rims?) and they looked absolutely fabulous. If Auxilary has a scanner, I can then email you a pic, but until then I can't email or post a pic, sorry. Davy
1 tuff z
i have their ps wheel on my z. 17x8.5 with yoko a520's-215/40/17. no flares, running gc coilovers and no clearance probs and i'll go to a slightly larger and wider tire in the spring. alan at motorsport specialities and i spent quite a bit of time with; measurements-offset, backspacing & wheel diameter before final wheel build. they then shipped me 1 to try for clearance-fit fine and shipped the other 3. very service oriented and what i was looking for. 2 months ago i curbed a wheel, called alan-said no problem we can fix it [at me expense of course]. i'll b sending it back this winter to get the outer rim section replaced-they'll also tru the wheel prior to sending it back. link to a pics of my wheels- http://www.240z.org/photopost/showgallery.php?user=1750&cat=500&thumb=
