SR_man_49
Ok, Im putting my L28ET back together but my FSM didnt have any torque specs for the camshaft towers ( things that go over the cam and bolt to the head ). But it did have torque specs for the Head. So i decided to torque the towers to the same spec of the head.......... well you can guess from there. I broke the bolt off in the head! So now i have to take my head to a machine shop and have them get the bolt out. My question is what is the torque spec for the cam towers? That way when i get my head back i wont break another one off. Thanks

Thanks As I recall it was on the order of 20 or 25 lb-ft. Much, much lower than the head bolts, as you just found out - sorry to hear that.
