I do not know if you can find an off the shelf aftermarket GM type driveshaft in the specific length of your 350 SBC application except JTR or MSA since the length varies according to tranny.I would imagine that somewhere there are places that you can custom order a drive shaft to your specifications which is probably where some of the driveline shops get theirs. I bought a ($10.00 with new u joints) Corvette aluminum drive shaft on speculation that it could be shortened. My search so far for a shop reveals that this cannot be done anywhere professionally in Oregon and somwhere in California or maybe a shop in Seattle. BUT they can all order me a driveshaft for $300.00 plus,,so some where driveshafts are being made.I will do further search. Any one want to buy a lightweight Corvette shaft ?

Use a Chevrolet a shortened and re-balanced drive shaft with GM u-joints with a Neapco # 2-2-899-1 adapter flange that wiil adapt the GM drive shaft u joints to the Darsun R 200 differential which all will handle a 350 SBC power easily. I can obtain the adapter flange locally for $32.74 I got quotes all the way to $41.20 on this flange adapter. Apparently there is another adapter # 2-2-899 (without -1) that is not the right one.You just may not find a bolt in out of the junkyard because I never heard of any one locating one. Drive Line Northwest (1-800-552-7647) will shorten ad balance my Corvette aluminum drive shaft for $125.00 which is about $75.00 less than a local shop will shorten a sreel GM drive shaft. Shop around and get a good deal.

Hmmmm, thanks for the insight Tomahawk. I was always wondering if you can somehow buy a driveshaft which would withstand the power of the 350 without having to swap out the axle...But I suppose it would be cheaper just to get a new axle from a junkyard or something and clean it up and install hahaha What would be the best Axle to search for?
