drwharton85 Posted August 22, 2007 Share Posted August 22, 2007 i am thinking about doing the sr20 swap into my 73 240z. i have found many sr20 for sale and i have noticed that the s15 sr20 is twice the price of the s13 and s14 what is the difference in the engines i would pay for? Lewis Maudlin Posted August 28, 2007 Share Posted August 28, 2007 Are you going to increase the power output of the engine by replacing the turbo? If you are doing performance mods anyway, then I would get the S13. If you are not, then the S15 has more power out of the box. With the S15, you are paying for a better turbo and more power. 250hp v 200hp. Which really does matter if you are replacing the turbo and intend to put out 350 hp. The only justification which I can see to buy the more expensive engine is that it may be newer. The rest of the reason are pretty mute if you are tweaking the motor much.
