HICKL
I got this setup yesterday and am wondering what car it is from. I noticed the diff has that little sleeve over the shaft in the spider gears. What is that for? None of my other r200's have it. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=16828&cat=500&ppuser=8295 http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=16829&cat=500&ppuser=8295 I have 280zx cv's in there now, these look a little different, are they better? thanks Jeff
HICKL
I know my pictures are unclear but can anyone help? I think it's early 80's 300 zx, but not sure. The CV's seem to be a tad longer than my ZX ones. Can anyone confirm or deny it they should be longer?
Chaparral2f
I'm no expert, but the suspension and rearend look like the one that I pulled out of my '
Racinjitter
Yes it is a Z31 rearend. I can tell by the exhaust hanger mounted to the top of the diff/subframe bolts. If you can maesure your 280 cv's I wil measure a set of my z31 cv's and compare.

Racinjitter
LOL, Maybe this winter I can get ahold of some 280zx cv's and measure them up.
HICKL
No worries, I am past that point of decision making now. FYI, in case anyone else doesn't know this, the rear diff input flange on a 280 zx or 300zx is different than the 280 one. I figured it out when I tried to bolt up my driveshaft and it didn't work. Wasn't too big of a deal to change under the car (once I got the nut broke loose), but it sure would have been alot easier to swap on the work bench.
