TUME
Something like that, I also made support to side of beam. So I bolt crossmember with 4 bolts/side. 2 horizontally and 2 vertically.
2jztank
yes thats perfect, i am going through this process at the moment on my 280z before i swap in my Lt1/t56 combo. Another question i had when drilling the new holes how did you keep the stock hole location or did you just drop one rail and mark the new rail with the old ones locations and replaced each rail as such. Thanks again for this information.
TUME
I think my crossmember if little further front than stock. This is because more room for oilpan and more caster. Other hand must keep wheel quite center of wheelwell. I think my wheelbase is couple of cm longer than stock. so i didn't care about original place of crossmember, just put it were it seems a good place. Thanks again for this information. The center of the hole closest to the firewall is 20" from the firewall. I have seen a few people say 19-3/4 but mine is 20". Just take that measurement before you remove. Edited June 3, 2015 by zilverbullet77
