tommyboy
I wanna remove my cat and replace it with a pipe I bought that is supposed to be used with a pacesetter exhaust system. It comes with flanges attached to it so you can bolt it in without any sort of welding or other modification. The exhaust pipe going into the cat is 1 3/4 inches (I believe), and the pipe comin out of it is 2 1/2 inches. Well, the pipe I bought (pictured above) is a straight 2 inch tube, and I was wondering if I can bolt it on as is, or if I'll need to have a pipe custom made to fit into the flanges. Thankx

bobbyc
if it fits bolt it in....it'll work...the transistions could create turbulance...but if your pipe before the cat is 1.75" then i wouldn't really worry about it.
