Interchangeable parts on 260z's 2+2/2 seater

Hi Guys, First post here but ive been lurking around here for a while. Great forum here!

 

So Im in Australia and the 240/260's are getting pretty rare. Ideally i would like a 260 2 seater but the prices are v high for one in good condition.

 

So heres my idea.. What if i buy a 260z 2+2 (which are significantly cheaper) and start work on the engine and the interior and so on at my leisure.. Until i find a 2 seater shell to transfer all of my work into. This would allow me to get going with a Z to satisfy me in the mean time.

 

So my question is, if i start work on a 2+2 what parts can be transferred. Doors? Hood? Rear hatch? Dashboard ? Seat rails the same? Wheels and brakes?

 

I assume the engine and gearbox are the same and the driveshaft will be a different length ?

Pretty much everything from the firewall forward is the same.... and rear suspension.
