Chaparral2f
This week has been the pits, but it seems to be leveling out a little. Monday I am at home with a bad sore throat, and a cough. No big deal for me. In the middle of the morning my wife comes in and says she has a pain in her chest, and needs to go to her doctor. they give her an EKG and take some blood for the lab. They think its just indigestion. Tuesday morning the clinic wants her to come in for another blood test. a couple hours later they call and tell her to get to the hospital because she has had heart attack. As we are getting ready to go, the phone rings, it is our daughter who lives in Seattle. I tell her that we are taking her mother in to the hospital, but she shouldn't worry. She then tells me that on her way to work she crashed her new motor scooter and is now at home with a broken arm and leg. She is otherwise ok and that I shouldn't worry. Hell, I ain't worried, I'm scared s!!tless! There are no words to explain how important my wife is to me. On Wednsday they did an angiogram and said she had a spasm in a blood vessel on her heart, and had done no dammage. So today I got to bring her home. Rhias (the daughter) called last night and said her boyfriend was taking the week off, and her best friend was flying up from San Fransisco to take care of her. Oh well, I'm so emotionally wrung out that at least I'm not worried. Joe
ZDrifter
Good to hear everything is turning out alright. I had a scare earlier this year when one of my best friends had a brain clot at 19. She made it amazingly but had to relearn how to use the right side of her body and talk. It helps us realise how important our loved ones really are to us.
