ZXR_KiD
for rally purposes I'd think welding the diff would be ok, you'll be spinning tires (powersliding) most the corners you make anyway... and honestly I'm not sure if stiffer swaybars would be the way to go since you'll want the suspension to soak up the bumps and jumps without tossing the car side to side... just my .
zed240au
from rallying my rx4 here in aus id say you need strut tower braces bigger front brakes i suggest 4 spot calipers and vented discs at minium good brake pads all round hydraulic handbrake or emegency brake as you call them over there id try for lsd if you can been living with welded diff in my rx4 for way too long it works fine but sure is a bitch when parking another thing to consider would be lower diff ratio say 4.4 or even 4.87 also most rally drivers perfer adjustable brake bias as in pedal box problem with this is u cant run brake booster couldnt get the hang of the one that was in my rx4 when i bought it so i went back to normal booster and master cylinder also consider camber adjustment make the z steer better first aid kit and fire extinguishers intercom terratrip trip computer also consider that dirt or gravel rallies really hammer your car its like sand blasting the under carriage so once youve done a few rallies it really becomes a race car few things to think about mick

The very first thing you need is the rule book. The spec of the car will be dictated by the organising / sanctioning body and the class that you intend to run in, rather than blind suggestions from this forum's members.
