das_hef
hey guys, having a bit of a problem with my oil pump/drive assembley, im pretty sure i didnt set TDC right when i installed the new oil pump, ive corrected TDC now and im just wondering if i absoluteley have to pull the oil pump to reset the drive or if i can just switch around the wires on the distributor so the position that the dist. is at on at TDC is wired to the no. 1 spark plug? thanks. Zmanco
You MAY be able to switch the plugs on the cap. The issue is if the range of adjustment for the dizzy mount will allow you to turn it far enough to set your timing properly. You can try it and see. If it's out of range you'll have to drop the oil pump and do it right.
badjuju
probably not what you want to hear, but just drop the f*cker and do it right... it's almost never worth the time you save by shortcutting.
