SilentNight1647
Like the title said my Dad called me and told me that some guy came and dropped of 4 Nissan six cylinders today, he didn't know what they were but he gave me the casting numbers and the part numbers for the bearings and I found out someone in Nebraska has a stash of these things. He also dropped off 4 Brian Crower stroker rotating assemblies to be balanced. I was floored when I heard this, I've heard the TB is a wicked mill when you put it together right but beyond that I didn't know much. The really strange part is that he's building the motors for sand rails that he's shipping to the Mid-East. Kind of a strange project but it was really interesting talking to the guy. I am trying to get one of these in the near future to add to my collection of Nissan motors that I rebuilt and never did anything with. But who knows maybe it will find it's way into a Z that I've got out back.
Chewievette
If you get the bottom end on any of them apart let me know, I've been looking for some info that no one has locally. Thanks
Gareth
Are these the TB48DEs, with the twin cam head? They are some serious power makers, and apparently there is some aftermarket available for them... Good luck in fitting it into a Z - it's huge for a six cylinder (remember it has 4,8 liters).
