Guest OkiMan
I have been searching all over the site to find out how to fix my heater control switch. The problem is that my control nob is stuck in the middle between hot and cold. After taking it apart I found that I could move the nob, but the wire behind it was just bending and not actually adjusting anything mechanical. If you know how to fix this or can point me in the right direction that would be a great help. Winters without heat are sure cold.
Pop N Wood
The wire might be rusted up and binding. Or the control valve completely stuck. Try moving the arm on the control valve itself and pulling the cable out and cleaning/lubing it up. Get a service manual, or find an on line copy. A search of this site might turn one up. They will have a picture to show you where everythign is.
