battlemac Posted January 17, 2008 Share Posted January 17, 2008 No, the single cam VG is an extremely reliable, durable, and dirt cheap motor. The biggie is to change the timing belt, its an interference motor. Oh I know all about that motor, I drive a 1993 Pathfinder with that motor(got the car in late 1992). It is a fantastic motor in the Pathfinder and I bet it is even better in the Z. I guess I was misunderstanding something else. I knew the timing belt was expensive as we have had that changed, but I didn't know everything else was reasonably priced. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think what he is saying is that unless you got the fab skills needed to make your own mounts etc, it's gonna cost you a lot to have it done, if you can't weld then the L28ET just bolts in and therefore cheaper to swap in Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
