T.Lindsey
Hey all I have a 283 sbc in a 75 280z. I thought if anywhere could help me out it would be here. I have a HEI distributer, a one wire alternator with reg built in. Can anyone give me a ny pointers on how to wire this thing up without tearing all the factory wireing out? Please help. Administrators RTz Posted January 5, 2008 Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2008 On the HEI cap is a terminal labeled "Bat". This needs to have a good 12v source in start/run. Another terminal will be labeld "tach"... goes to the blue tach feed wire. A one wire alternator... um, wire it to the positive side of the battery with appropriate gauge for the amperage. The above is an abridged edition. I moved your thread the appropriate sub-forum.
