Houston TX people question

Enlighten me about Houston, where to live, best schools etc.

 

Possible move coming up and want to start checking it out.

 

Looking for a burb with low crime rate, quality schools etc.

North Houston. 290 area (NW houston) is expanding rapidly right now, so is Humble (NE houston). I wouldn't really consider any of the public schools top notch at the moment, would need to look at private schooling in the area. I suppose the Klein district schools are alright, though Klein Forest is a little rough.

Memorial area schools are good. Parents makes the school and parents in this area have lots of money. Sugarland and The Woodlands area PUBLIC shools are OK. All public schools are too much into PC and not into education. I think there is a site that shows the % of graduating class going to college by high school. I would look there.

 

Sorry, I didn't notice that you are Air Force. I you are active duty, then there really is only one area for you. Clear Lake area. Schools are good and crime is low except for dentists running over their husbands and astronauts going man crazy. (Just kidding).

I live in a small subdivision here off of Westheimer & Hwy 6 (Briar Village) very , very close to Memorial area so my kiddos go to school there , but I don't have to have a house in 500's to 750's ...............

Quiet neighborhood , people mind there own business , not alot of "through traffic". I found the a cozy little place (for me) with an awesome driveway & garage for me & my project........ wife can have the rest of the house....
