Not a datsun/nissan but......

Recommended Posts

I ordered the parts for my car on Thursday. I ordered a Suspension Techniques Hyper bushing kit, Eibach sway bar kit (front /rear) and Tokico Illumina adjustable suspension kit (comes with the struts/springs and is valved for my car). I cant wait to install this stuff in my car. :D

My Accord handles better than my 240Z now. It is solid but there is a problem. The sway bars aren't in yet because they don't fit correctly. The kit is the correct part number but the sway bars hit the lower strut mount that goes to the lower control arm so I can't get the end-joints in. It is a little longer than the sway bar too so the holes don't line up that well either. The center of sway bar that goes over the exhaust also rubs against some power steering lines that come off the rack and pinion. I have talked to Summit and they came back saying that Suspension Techniques advised that I need to put jackstands under the struts to compress them so I can get it in. That doesn't sound right to me. I'm thinking that they probably put the wrong sway bars in the box. I will probably call them on Monday. Does anyone have any comments on this? Tokico are as good as I have heard, at least in my opinion, and the urethane bushings also made a big difference. That is what I will be putting into my Zs.
