260z pricing??

i have one question about a 260z this will be my first s30z i drive a 83 s130.

ooh well am buying a 260z on thursday picking it up but it has no motor and tranny is 300 dollars a good price?? the interior looks like s**t but its all there is it worth it??

It all depends on rust and what is in your area. Title? Electronics in good shape? Thin or fat bumpers?

 

If it is worth it to you is all that really matters.

 

Oddly enough my quick search in CA didn't yield many that were reasonable.

For reference, I live in Central Cali and I bought a 260z about 4 months ago. Its an early one, has clean interior, not much rust, very few dents, and it ran great when I got it. I paid 1500 for mine.

 

I would have paid 300 for a good rolling shell. I didnt need mine to run, but I paid extra for that and the interior.

 

Assuming the rust isnt out of control (if its a CA car, Im sure its not bad) and there arent many Dmv Fees, I think its safe to say thats a good price.
