Rustyfriend
Well i got my complete kit in the mail yesterday for my 2+2....and wow. fitment for the rear bumper appears to be completely off. has anyone else had bad fitment with their kits? one side "fits" but it sits kinda low and the other side just doesn't want to hook around the fender lip at all
Globerunner513
i know they usually take some trimming and such to make it work. Remember, its just a molded piece. Your car could be slightly different. I know on my front airdam, I had to trim and help it out a little to get it to fit just right. Not like it matters now cause i crashed it into a ditch :/
zmaster
how does the rear bumper bolt to the car?
SHO-Z
My front fit just fine after very little trimming. The back was a whole different story. Some areas need trimming and others had about ¼ to 3/8†gaps. I finally had to just get it as close as I could and bolt it on. I went on the underside and fiber-glassed between the body and the bumper and filled the top with flexible body filler. The side pods were warped big time. I glued them on attaching them with flat head screws. These take time to fit. I am no body work expert and I got them to work.
zmaster
on my 280z there were about 8 holes above the rear bumper that held on a rubber filler that extended from the car to the bumper. I was wondering if those are the holes that are supposed to be used in order to attatch the type 3 msa rear bumper?
