Guest jbfortehwin
Could use some help. Previous owner sheared off oil pressure sender it appears. It is currently plugged with JB weld and is not leaking (yet). Considering trying an easy out or re-drilling and retapping with an adapter if possible. Would preferr not to dissassemble the engine since its a daily driver atm. Is the pressure tap where this is installed upstream of the oil filter by chance, where any debree created drilling and removing the shear off portion/or tapping would be caught and could easily be flushed? Any other ideas/options such as grind and weld fill to mitigate risks of leakage and then retap on an overhaul at some future date, or weld an adapter on even? 78 280z NA Daily driven thanks JB
CarolinaZ
Are you talking about where the oil sending unit goes...obviously is so then your oil gauge shows no pressure..who the heck would have done something like that considering an oil pressure sending unit is pretty cheap to replace.
