  1. Nismo..it cant be that cheap...for a total clutch replacement?..Im not all sure what "totally" replacing the clutch is all about , all the parts and all..gotta be just the clutch and not the throw out and pressure plate..if so please let me know..one way or the other. Thanks for responding
  2. That stocker will help more than you realize especially on a 77 or 78 but I too am toying with the idea of shaving the back of my 77..or maybe going with a 240 rear bumper..no front just the same type of air dam I had on my 78...but I was "tapped" a few years ago in the rear..and truthfully that baby was stiff..kept my car from being damaged more than it was...darned things sure do look good with the bumpers off , spoiler and shaved.
  3. -2 ..others could not move..the ol 78 did...why I took her out of the garage in -2 degrees I have no idea..only did it one time..took her home and back in the garage..didnt bring her out till spring..after apologizing to her for about 5 min for that stunt..I dont think she ever really forgave me..lol
  4. Anyone have any idea outside of the factory orig clutch..total..pressure plate , throwout etc will go into a 77-280...what about a 240 SX ...Skyline or well help..dont have the $$ right now to go to the dealer and buy a total clutch assembly as in OEM..so I need some ideas...HELP...and thanks Carolina Z
  5. For sure..they have to be from a ZX..the point Nissan/Datsun screwed the looks of the Z cars.
  6. Had mine painted at a body shop...for $5.00 each..5 years ago...still looking super..high gloss black..guy did it with paint left from another car that he had on hand..
  7. Gorilla Glue...worked for me...just a dab here and there..on the other hand I was still able to utilize two of the four clips..but the ol Gorilla Glue locked'em down
  8. Buy new ones , factory if all else fails..you have this lady ready to go..dont short change her and yourself with used or old injectors..you can buy a new set for under or appox $400.00.. now obviously not from a dealership but there are a lot of places on line that have them...now is not the time to let $ become an obstacle..
  9. Whats $6300.00 sound like ..for starters..she also has some dynamite looking 15 in chromes with 50 series tires on here..the rims cost 1300.00 4 years ago...
  10. Have no idea as of this time...I'm just considering selling it...you have any idea what might be a fair price for her...this car is seriously in super shape..I bought it 6 years ago from a guy who was 72 at that time..had owned her from day one plus the sequential serial numbered mate to her..his son had that one in Florida..this car is totally from South Carolina..upstate and midlands..never been to the beach or around salt water or salted streets for those from up north..
  11. Are you talking about where the oil sending unit goes...obviously is so then your oil gauge shows no pressure..who the heck would have done something like that considering an oil pressure sending unit is pretty cheap to replace.
  12. Might be in the market to sell a 77 Z car..body panels are in very good shape and straight..hood has a couple of slight scratches.. bumpers are in great shape interior is totally intact..and in very good shape as in no holes in the seats..does need new carpet..engine has 92,180 original miles on it..rubber all around should be replaced to make this car look seriously good with and considering its 30+ years old a new paint job..roof and hatch need repainting...anyway just wondered if anyone is possibly interested..might consider trade for a 90's model...will take pics of the car this weekend if anyone is interested.. One thing ...the clock doesnt work....lol
  13. Looks great , just think it would look better painted to match the rest of the car..as well as some tire shine on the tires for the next set of pics..like the look but would like it even better if the AD matched the paint of the body.. Question..whats the toggle switch for as well as how did you redo the dash area where the radio should be..that looks pretty cool..but would like to know about the toggle for sure.
