Guest Anonymous
OK; heres a weird one. When I accelerate the car squats and the rear end seems to move to the left. When I let off the gas it seems to move to the right. What the? I am thinking motor or transmission mount. Have any of you ever experienced this? I dont even have a clue. This did happen very suddenly. And there are no weird vibrations. Thanks, Peter
John Scott
Yes, I had this happen in another car. Kind of like 4 wheel steering Rear end mounts had play. Check your bolts bushings etc. Had a similar effect when my tension rod up front came loose. That 'bout put me in the ditch. JS
TimZ
Not trying to be a smart ass here, but have you checked your rear tire pressures? I had these identical symptoms, and I originally thought the worst. The effect was quite pronounced. Embarrassingly, it turned out that one of my rears had lost pressure due to a slow leak. When I brought everything back to correct pressures, the problem went away.
clint78z
I think the Z is quite sensitive to this, used to happen when I drove my car in the winter for a few years . It was very pronounced on ice and ruts, 5 psi made a huge difference .
