QWKDTSN
couldn't find it in the search. When moving the differential back (using the curved rear arm bracket, 72-73, that hangs from the link braces instead of the straight one, 70-71), wouldn't I need a longer driveshaft? It only makes sense to me that diff farther back = longer driveshaft needed. JTR book makes no mention of this. It's not like the driveshaft can stretch somehow, can it? jeromio
Yes, you need a longer driveshaft. I used one from a 75 280Z. ------------------ 240Z.jeromio.com
Owen
I had no idea! Good thing I already have the 73 bracket...but, if I switch to a R200 (haven't done so yet) will this change things further? I already have the shaft made for the stock R180 length.... Owen ------------------ http://www.homestead.com/s30z/index.html
jeromio
The R180 and R200 have the same nominal dimensions - that is, the mounting points, input shaft location and output shaft locations are the same as the R200. So if your car already had the mustache bar with the little curve in it, mounted with the bushing rings forward (and behind the rear vertical uprights), then you're driveshaft is the correct length. ------------------ 240Z.jeromio.com
