350 combo

hey guys, I'm planning on pulling the 350 I have out of my camaro and putting it in a 280z.

 

Current specs:

Bored .060 over

#441 heads, lets say stock, they may have a little porting done to them.

222/222 .443/.443 lift cam with 1.52 rockers.

Edelbrock Performer intake

600 cfm holley, vacuum secondary.

 

Drove a 1980 Camaro (~3800lbs to 14.3@98)

 

When I put it in the Z I want to go to aluminum heads for the weight and I would like more power.

 

Any suggestions on heads? Maybe change out the carb and intake too?

If I could find my way into the 12's that would be nice..

ID suggest building a combo to maximixe the 350s basic ideal power range of about 3500rpm-6700rpm,something similar to this,

this intake and 200cc heads and solid flat tappet cam, & 750 cfm carb matched to a manual trans or 3200 stall converter and 1 3.73:1 -4.11:1 rear gear ratio

Hey thanks for the advice grumpy. Yeah the setup is alright now, forgot to mention the c.r is about 10:1 and the cam although I don't remember the LSA is a stock chevy 327 cam.

 

I work in Palm Bay but i'm originally from Bradenton which is probably where the car will be pieced together. Been to West Palm couple times for diving/other stuff, good to know a guru isn't too far away.
