silverdirt
i searched and couldnt find a answer for this, are there performance difference's between the MSA 6-1 and 3-2 header? being low end response, better at high rpm etc.
z-ya
I like the 6:1 because it has a standard 3 bolt flange. The 3:2:1 header has this crappy clamp on Y pipe. I like to be able to unbolt the exhaust system from the engine without having to deal with that Y pipe. The difference in performance? Maybe the the 3:2:1 flows a little better than the 6:1, but on most all engines the difference is minimal. Maybe on a full race L6 you can measure the difference, maybe not. katman
They both suck. Sorry couldn't resist. If you're putting them on a relatively stock motor there won't be 2 hp difference between them, or practically any other off-the-shelf header. What's your application? silverdirt
its 72 z with the stock 2.4 engine with the E88 head, mild cam and azc 4 barrel intake/ 4 barrel, and i already have 2.5" exhaust so i was thinking the 3-2 so i can mate it to my exsisting exhaust, but i wanted to see what anyone had to say about the two or maybe if they suck point me in a different direction
