Ph34r
I am going to be cleaning the engine bay and while I am there I am going to replace the vac lines with new ones. Does anyone have a vac diagram for what goes where? The lines that are there are in crap shape and I would rather just re-hook everything back up the right way. Thanks Oh, it's a 79 L28E
naviathan
I have a vacuum line diagram in my head. Just replace one piece at a time so you don't miss something.
Ph34r
Lol, I would, but I highly doubt they are right to begin with.
Ph34r
No one has one? Damnnit... the FSM doesn't tell me anything... I really don't want to have to pay the $125 I got quoted by a local Z shop to have them do this... anyone??????
blue72
I've never seen a vacuum diagram either, and my Z came with hoses that were obviously in the wrong places. What I did was troll search engines, HybridZ, and as many online photo albums as I could to find photos of people's engine bays. I tried to get as many angles as possible. In the process I learned what most of the components underhood were, and between the two I learned how to route them correctly.
ozconnection
I don't know how detailed you need your diagrams to be but there are some pictures and descriptions of where the vacuum hoses go in Chiltons Repair Manual Datsun/Nissan Z and ZX 1970-88 models Chapter 4 pages 157-188. Good luck.
naviathan
I wish I had PRINT SCREEN option for my head. I could post all kinds of wiring and vacuum diagrams.
