hammeredscout
After hours of searching and reading peoples threads I still haven't found the answer. I've got a RB25DET with a steel oil pan that has the sump closer to the front. I would call it middle front it's bolted to a RWD trans. Question is ....... does this need to be flipped , reversed, changed for a "rear sump pan" to fit into a 1971 240Z? I'll be making my own engine mounts so I really just need to know if the back of the engine will hit the firewall before the sump drops behind the Rack and Pinion and cross member. Thanks in advance
260zShooter
you need a rear sump to fit in a 71 240z. Look for a 200ZR. The part number are found in the How to install RB Sticky.
jakeoster
You need to install an oil pickup and pan out of a 200ZR. Heres the parts number for the oil pickup 15050-20P03 and heres the parts number for the oil pan 11110-20P00. Put those into google to find them. Its usually about $180 for both of em.
