DREW RBZ
Went to take out the car today and had the following problem. The car will start and idle with the wideband showing 12 or so at idle. As soon as there is any attempt to add throttle the car nearly dies, pops and misfires..will not rev at all. While I am trying to add throttle the wideband is showing numbers shooting up to max of 22?!?!. Any ideas on what to look for. The car was running quite well before being parked the day before. jkube
Sounds like a bad MAF(s).
mjfawke
First, check the computer for error codes. Then check the fuel pressure. Then look for an air leak. FWIW, having had two MAF's fail, they tend to go intermittent rather than give bad values. Although I have heard of them giving incorrect readings. BirdmanZ
Check the TPS. Make sure it's connected and adjusted properly. Brandon
