classic plates

I purchased mine around 1986 when my car was 10 years old and out of model and make. That's the requirements in PA. You do have to get them inspected but not emission tested. The plates are a one time buy and you do not have to get them renewed each year. There are some restrictions about amount of driving, but I am not sure of the amount of miles, I think around 6K per year. Not sure on the cost, I would say around $50 to $100.

Good Lord obracing72 how about picking up the phone book, looking up the number to DMV (DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES) or what ever it is called in your state (if you can figure out where you live PA/OH) and calling them to find the requirements to apply for classic tags.

While you have the phone book open call a few insurance companies and request quotes from them, they'll be happy to talk to you.

Sorry if I sound like a jerk but you asking these types of questions is way out there.

In Arkansas the tags are $30ish and never need to be renewed.
