Guest Anonymous
Chevy had many different mounts, depending on the whether the water pump is a long style (after 1969) or short (pre 69). The easiest way is if you can get down to Sacramento, go to Tognotti's, they have a whole row of chrome parts (cheap!) and mounts for long or short waterpump. A picture or at least remembering what your waterpump looks like and how far it extends from the block will probably help to get the right one. They can fix you up though, I told them what pump I was using and Chris hooked me up. Good luck with it. Lone
Guest Anonymous
i just baught an alternator gm stuff. but the mounting hardware i got with it wont seem to work on my motor i am guessing the motor originally had a generator on it so is there a special mount so that an alternator will fit. im not sure the year of motor i am waiting for some info on how to tell what year it is zach
Owen
I had that problem too, even with the so called "right" mounts. Ended up ordering 2 different kinds and finally got one that fit. Do like he said and go physically see the parts. Owen
