hey guys im using the write up on diyautone to power up my l28et 240z ms2 3.0 2.88 code 280zxt_v3_igbt_wiring_small.jpg

 

1. so from my understanding i wont need the ignitor off the l28et? i have already done the pcb modification jumpers

2. i dont know how i would wire that resistor and the 12 v from gb to pin 24? im thinking switched 12 v through that resistor directly into the line from the loosk of it

3. how thick gauge of wire should i make?

4 32-35 are injectors banks on db37 did you guys use both 32 33 (inj1) and 34 35 (inj2) and what cylinders to run to? in megatune what should i select ?

1. Looks like you won't need the L28et ignitor, you will be using the IGBT on the megasquirt board to fire your coil.

 

2. Sounds like you got it, just connect the resistor between 12volts and where the GB wire connects to megasquirt.

 

3. 18awg should be fine

 

4. Run half of the injectors from each pair of wires. Like injectors 1,3,5 on 32,33 and injectors 2,4,6 on 34,35. That spreads the load on the fuel rail, but I don't think it really matters how you group up the injectors. Look through the MAP sharing sticky to see how people set up their injectors (usually alternating vs simultaneous).

have you made up a msq. file for you to get running on? because if you have would you be willing to share it? im using the same firmware and so forth.. and it would really be a big help getting this car started...

are you having trouble starting her up/? if yes me too i just finished all my wiring im getting no spark and no fuel so thats a bummer im pretty confident with my wiring its pretty straight forward What is your setup? have you had any luck getting an msq from someone with a base setup w/ newer firm ware and newer megatue. Speaking of megatune its nothing like the old simpler ones too much options and too much room for error

 

 

what we can do is team up and see whats going right now im at work but i will follow up with this post and take a screen shot of every setting screen in megatune. In megatune there is a option to review all the settings unders tools so that should prove handy with screen shots. Also maybe team up with moby and other members and have a update to the writeup for the new ms2 for something with stock injectors turbo dizzy stock o2 sensor and gm coolant and air temp sensors with a 240sx throttle body and tps which i think in my opinion most people would start with the only thing non stock for me is im overbored .5 mm in my block , ss 2.5 inch downpipe and msa crank pulley but i dont think that should affect anything.

am i splicing the wire in line with the GB wire, or am i tapping the resistor into the GB wire and then give it a 12v+ source?

 

 

 

 

are you having trouble starting her up/? if yes me too i just finished all my wiring im getting no spark and no fuel so thats a bummer im pretty confident with my wiring its pretty straight forward What is your setup? have you had any luck getting an msq from someone with a base setup w/ newer firm ware and newer megatue. that sounds like a great idea. personally i have not even tried to wire it up as of yet. i have removed the old harness and so fourth, but still trying to make sure i get everything wired up correctly before i install the new harness.

im having an impossible time trying to find an msq file for ms2 especially with a stock setup my setup is

 

f54 block bored over .5 mm

stock p90 head

stock injectors (265 cc i believe)

stock fpr 30-35psi when fuel pump primes

stock 82-83 distributor w/ mods to ms2 for direct coil output

stock 280zx coil

stock t3 stock boost and wg actuator

GM coolant temp sensor

GM air temp sensor

240sx throttle body w/tps

2.5 ss downpipe

msa crank pulley

 

pretty much a stock setup the reasons im doing the ms2 is for obvious reasons of driveability and tunibility also was having a really hard time with the stock eccs

 

so i took screenshots of all the settings so i can make for myself and others in the future a bone stock msq file for people with ms2 i tried to group as much info as i can from the write up and metros setup but there are so many different variables if you could please chime in and throw your 2 cents im not trying to start a debate on whats what

 

here goes many pics and hopefully by the end of this thread there will be a msq file generated and loaded to the map sharing post

Yeah, the GB wire runs from the dizzy to MS. One end of the resistor taps into the GB wire, the other end of the resistor attaches to a 12v source.

you should really post the MSQ and a ZIP of all the images if possible. that would make the thread easier to read.

 

but your dedication to allowing everyone see your settings is second to none :D

 

good stuff! that's a lot of image code and uploading.

carless thanks for that it wasnt too bad the review mode helped in megatune and then uploading them all to photobucket was pretty fast and they give you the code just got a paste it now that a type it seems longer hehe im a cab driver so it gives me something to do summer is real dead for cabbiz lol thats why i gotta get this car on the road its been 3 summers so far.....

 

for the msq i didnt want to post anything i wasnt to sure of this my car is not running and its a copy and paste from 3 different setups metros mobys and cygenux i will upload a zip w/ msq and pics of all screen shots

edit i keep trying to upload the zip file 4 megs and im getting a fast cgi error

 

update on my car so no fuel at plugs or spark

for fuel i have no clue whats going on im getting power to injectors dont know about the ground that triggers them

spark could be a bad coil im not too sure

in the first pic in this post +12 should come from fp relay doesnt make sense to me cause it only gets power for 5 seconds am i thinking logical here? It didnt realy say which pin of fuel pump relay too now that i think of it. I have it wired to the same wire fuel pump gets power is that right?
