Guest RED280
I'm in the begining stages of doing my conversion using a small block chevy. I have a chance to buy a good 700r4 out of a 1984 camaro. I have herd that 90+ 700r4's were better. Is this really the case? My goal is to make about 325-350 hp. Will this present a problem for either transmision? thanks Jp 1976 280z
Tim240z
JP, I 'believe' the 91 on up are stronger. The older ones use a smaller input shaft that are apt to break, so stay clear of them. They can be upgraded, but the newer ones are better all around so why bother. Guest kc6wfs
Mine is a 84 700R4 and no problems yet. They need work to keep them from breaking though. Dave
