Mexicola
I've inherited front and rear suspension setups from a later model Z, but I wasn't told exactly what year. I have a '73 240z in desperate need of suspension overhaul and I was considering restoring the spare suspensions and swapping them into the '73. I plan on stripping/blasting the parts and having them painted or powdercoated then using all new bushings and soft parts. I like the idea of having a stronger rear end but I'm hesitant in swapping the entire section, I read somewhere on this board that a 280 strut assembly in a 240 will raise the rear end up some - please correct me if I'm wrong. I plan on doing the DIY coilovers shown here... http://www.geocities.com/bry593/coilover/coilover.htm I searched the forums and I'm pretty sure it's an R200 but I'm not 100% Can any of you Z gurus confirm? I did a quick "stare and compare" with what's in the car currently and it looks a bit different from the R180 in the '73. The mustache bars curl opposite directions - Thanks in advance -
