Guest FreewaySpeedway
So i recently purchased a 280zx 2+2 turbo and it did turn on when i took a test drive but when i try to turn on the switch again all the lights do appear but motor wont run. So i have to push the car in order for it to turn on. Any suggestions for my situation
RayG1988
Could be a lot of things. Bad battery, starter, alternator, or even bad wiring.
woldson
Run? How so?
Guest FreewaySpeedway
It was working when i test drove it but when i tried to turn it on again it wouldn't start the second ti. The previous owners kept hitting the starter with a piece of wood don't really know why. So i towed the car in my driveway thats how much i love my Z's lol. All of the electronics work but makes kinda of a grinding noise when i try to turn it on.

blue72
You can always try tapping the solenoid, or jumping the terminals on the starter. That is, assuming you know how to do that safely.
