unofootball43
I'm working on my 76 280z and I was wondering if there was a rear roll pan I can buy for it or do I have to make it? I see some of you guys with your bumpers shaved off and I like the look. Any feedback would be great
Dudeboy
I have not seen anything on the market. Some body work and welding is how I did mine.
Globerunner513
same here. Except i used fiberglass to fill in the holes from behind. (no welder) No pre-made panel that I know of.
unofootball43
do you guys have any issues with it warping? I talked to one of my buddies in a body shop and he said that he would have a real hard time keeping it strait without a roll pan from the car flexing, expecially cuz I'm trying to drop an LS1 in it this winter. m4xwellmurd3r
wait, do you not have a rollpan at all? or are you just trying to make your smooth. if you just wanted to smooth it out, just get some sheet metal and weld in some patches, smooth it up, and bondo it over. I don't think a z's body would flex without having a rollpan. as far as I know it's not a major support structure at all.
mom'sZ
Hey... if any of you 280z owners want to make a few extra bucks, sell me your old bumpers. If they are the big ugly ones, I'll buy them off ya! (need brackets and isolators and all)
proxlamus©
I have a beautiful set of front and rear 280z bumpers from a 1978. Shocks included. PM me and they are yours
unofootball43
yea all I want to do is fill the holes. I figured I'd have to make it by hand but I was hoping there was an easier way. Thanks anyways
unofootball43
hey by the way do any of you guys have wilwood breaks? Im thinking about it but I'm not sure if its worth the price.
tkach
Search in the Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis section and you will find your answer.
WizardBlack
Someone makes a fiberglass panel with the bumper holes filled in but the slight "divot" still there... Gotta find that....
unofootball43
that panel would be what I'm looking for. Do you have any Idea where that would be?
